Vidarbha Jan Andolan Samiti’s founder and farmers’ leader Kishor Tiwari has sought the intervention of the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat to bring about change in the “autocratic” leadership of Narendra
Modi after he latter turns 75 years, and replace him Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s nomination as next Prime Minister of the country.
In an open letter written to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat ahead of Modi turning 75 on September 17, Tiwari said that Modi had himself forced BJP’s senior-most leaders L K Advani, Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Mafatbhai
Patel to retire from active politics after they completed glorious 75 years of service to nation.
“Now that the retirement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is due on September 17 2025, the RSS should give a chance to the former national president of BJP and the most promising active Union Minister Nitin Gadkari”. Gadkari (68), the Nagpur MP and Unioleadershin Road Transport and Highways Minister, is considered close to the RSS, the ideological fountainhead of the BJP.
“Gadkari is an Ajat Shatru (one whose enemy is not born yet) and is acceptable to all,” Tiwari said. “The RSS should make appropriate intervention and change the autocratic leadership of Modi prevailing in the country for the last 11 years and the slogan of “Sabka Saath ~ Sabka Vikas” should be implemented in true sense and the 'Antyodaya Mission' of late Deendayal Upadhyay should be realized in true sense,” Tiwari said in his letter to Bhagwat. Tiwari, who is one of the prominent faces of the farmers’ movement and has been highlighting the issue of agrarian distress and farmers’ suicides in Vidarbha for the last several year, said: “The country has given Modi a great opportunity to work for 11 years and as PM he has also done many good works including the building the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya”.
Pitching for Gadkari as the prime ministerial candidate after Modi’s retirement, Tiwari said: In 2014, Gadkari had the chance to become PM but the opportunity was snatched Gadkari is known as a hardworking and a most performing minister of the BJP-led NDA Government, who takes everyone along Gadkari should be given the opportunity to lead the country for the remaining 4 years before the 2029 Lok Sabha election.
